2015 AMO Nationals – Cleveland Ohio
Just got back from the AMO nationals in Cleveland Ohio, Aside from having car troubles on the way and having to rent a car to get to the show it was a great event! I was told it was the largest vending area for a national ever, from parts to cars it was a feast for the eyes. The weather was great as was the host hotel and show field, they ended up using a Jr. High school up the street from the hotel and provided ample space for all to spread out. The Marlin club held their 50th anniversary show on Friday and let me say that I have never seen so many Marlins in one spot. The prototype Marlin (Tarpon) that was built on the smaller American body was there and for sure was great to see…sure wish they made one!!!

There was also a prototype AMX with a rumble seat on display, it was a fiberglass roller but was very cool!

Vince Garaci was on hand displaying (And signing) his AMC artwork, Vince who worked for AMC under Dick Teague in the design department played a big role in the creation of many of the cars we all love today.

Jim Mckee one of our club members took home some hardware for his very clean 69 Scrambler

The Mopars with Big Daddy Event turned out a great group of AMC’s!

Thanks to the First Coast AMC club for supporting the Florida Mopar Association. Even though Saturday was a gloomy rainy day it did not prevent the people from coming out and having a good time. A good range of Cars were present and we even had an all original 68 AMX with the original owner. She was a very nice friendly woman and still drives it herself to this day…and by the way it’s a 390 4 speed car!
